NEW SERVICE

Foot Mobilisation and
Manipulation Program

A new treatment to reduce foot pain and improve mobility and strength – reducing the need for orthotics.

We are pleased to announce we now offer mobilisation, manipulation and adjustments for the joints in the feet.

What Foot Mobilisation and Manipulation involves

Foot mobilisation and manipulation are a set of techniques that apply controlled forces to specific joints in order to improve joint mobility, range of motion and overall function.

A standard course of treatment will range between 8 – 12 weeks. With exercises and stretches being reviewed weekly, and becoming increasingly more challenging as the patient adapts.

The benefits

By helping to realign the joints of the feet, the ankles, knees and hips are also realigned. This causes muscles and tissues to work as they are supposed to and causes swelling to recede, muscles to function better and pain to diminish.

After an adjustment:

  • Joints glide better

  • Effects and symptoms of osteoarthritis are reduced

  • Increased blood flow to the area

  • Quality of the movement of the joints improves

  • Proprioceptors (nerve endings) which affect how the muscles work are stimulated
